Targa Telematics achieves ISO 27001 and 14001 security and environmental standards

Targa Telematics Spa has secured ISO 27001 and 14001 certifications, demonstrating its international best practices in information security and environmental standards.

Targa specialises in IoT solutions and digital platforms for connected mobility and the new ISO awards validate its commitment to manage processes that guarantee the integrity, confidentiality and availability of the data and information it handles internally, and its internal environmental management processes.

The ISO 27001 certification for Targa’s ISMS (information security management system) denotes that it follows best practices for collecting data, whether internal to the company, or from clients, employees and suppliers, and keeps it correct, accurate and accessible by the company, without the risk of temporary interruptions in availability or definitive loss.

The ISO 14001 award certifies that the impact of the company’s production processes in terms of environmental resources is sustainable in itself and for the environment and that Targa Telematics has taken the most appropriate measures to ensure a more efficient, rational and conscious use of resources, reducing the waste, refuse and emissions that may result from the provision of its services.

Targa achieved both certifications in just six months – instead of the 12 that many experts normally suggest – thanks to having already independently implemented quality processes in the field of information security.

Nicola De Mattia, CEO of Targa Telematics, stated: "These certifications testify to our commitment to adhering to the highest international standards and to promoting continuous business improvement processes.

"The two certifications achieved represent a strategic asset for us in terms of reliability, efficiency and reputation among our stakeholders and confirm the levels of safety and environmental compliance of our services and processes that we have always pursued."
