Targa Telematics, in its inaugural sustainability report, vows to pursue sustainable goals and make responsible ESG decisions.
Targa Telematics has released its first sustainability report, underscoring the company's journey towards seamlessly incorporating ESG elements into its business strategies.
The report delineates Targa Telematics' core values and its dedication to innovation and responsible growth. Developed in accordance with GRI Standards, Universal Standard, and SASB indices, the document elucidates the company's progress in integrating ESG aspects into its business strategies.
Topics covered include the calculation of the company’s carbon footprint, attainment of the EcoVadis rating (silver medal), ISO 14001 and ISO 27001 certifications, and formalisation of its commitment to the United Nations Global Compact — a non-binding pact urging businesses worldwide to adopt sustainable and socially responsible policies and report on their implementation.
This report is the latest step in Targa's ongoing efforts towards smart and sustainable mobility. The tech company, specialising in IoT solutions and digital platforms for vehicle fleet management, is steadfast in its commitment to lead in sustainable and responsible business practices.
Nicola De Mattia, CEO of Targa Telematics, stated, "To strengthen our commitment to increasingly responsible business management, we are promoting more efficient resource use, reducing our environmental impact, and enhancing the well-being of the communities where we operate. We aim to set a positive example in our sector and the economy at large; our inaugural sustainability report attests to our dedication to this path."
Targa Telematics' future focus revolves around three key pillars: people, business, and the environment. For each pillar, the company has outlined specific strategic objectives and an investment plan to realize them, aligning with the global sustainable development goals of the UN 2030 Agenda.
The company's dedication to sustainability is underscored by its recent achievement of the 'Sustainable Enterprise 2023' award in the Digital Sustainability category by Il Sole 24 Ore. This recognition applauds Targa Telematics for its work in developing innovative smart mobility solutions benefiting individuals, businesses, and the environment.
